DIY Thursday: soothing homemade face mist

If you’re an allergy sufferer you’ll know it can take its toll on your looks.  Constantly blowing your nose, itching your eyes and scratching your face can leave you a red, puffy, blotchy-looking mess.   Attractive?  No.   Fixable?  Yes!

Mix up some of this cooling, refreshing facial spray and keep it in the fridge.  Spritz your face a few times a day - with the natural anti-inflammatory properties of lavender and the sinus-clearing powers of eucalyptus, you’ll be fresh and ready to face the world in no time.

Bosisto’s Soothing Face Mist
You’ll need:
¾ cup filtered water (filtered by a Brita jug or similar)
¼ cup apple cider vinegar (in the sauces & condiments aisle of the supermarket)
20 drops or one capful of Bosisto’s Lavender Oil
20 drops or one capful of Bosisto’s Eucalyptus Oil

Directions:
Add filtered water and apple cider vinegar to a small spray bottle.  Add the essential oils and shake.  Keep refrigerated for best cooling effect and lightly mist your face during the day as needed.  You can also use this as a toner after cleansing (and before moisturising), especially if you have oily skin as the apple cider vinegar is slightly astringent.

 Quick Tip!
...this spray is also a brilliant sunburn remedy – just increase the amount of lavender oil in relation to eucalyptus to harness its healing effect.
