5 Natural cleaning shortcuts to try

When it comes to natural cleaning, it isn’t always about raiding your pantry for bi carb soda and vinegar. A clever natural cleaning strategy can also mean choosing products with great eco-credentials, and making them work harder around your home.

When trusted products can do multiple tasks, it not only saves you money but time as well. Here’s how to naturally clean your home working smarter, not harder!

1. Use Dish Liquid to clean your stove top

Hand washing your pots and pans? A quick squirt of a natural dish wash like Bosisto’s Dish Wash on your stove top can clean off grease and baked-on food. It makes sense because after all, it’s made for these kinds of stains!

Be careful not to use too much, and use a cloth recommended for your stove. Dishes done, stove cleaned = multi-tasking superstar!

2. Use a lemon before cleaning the microwave

We’ll make an exception for lemons because this trick really does work. Before you wipe down the inside of your microwave, pop in a bowl of water with a cut lemon in it. Microwave it for 3-5 minutes and leave it sit inside and steam for a few minutes.

After steaming, the crusty bits should just lift off with water on a cloth; but if it needs a bit extra, Bosisto’s Multipurpose Spray will do the trick. This CHOICE recommended formula is food-prep safe, so you can use it in your microwave or fridge, or anywhere food is prepared.

3. Use Glass cleaner on stainless steel

But not any old glass cleaner, of course. Bosisto’s Glass Cleaner contains real, natural eucalyptus oil grown in Australia. This gives it a special talent when it comes to shining up stainless steel because it doesn’t leave cloudy chemicals behind.

Try it on fridges, kettles, dishwasher doors, cabinet handles – any surface, really. It’s especially good for greasy, grubby fingerprints!

4. Pre-treat floor stains

Bosisto’s Multipurpose to the rescue again! Before you mop your tiled floors (with Bosisto’s Floor Cleaner, of course), give any sticky stains a quick squirt with your natural Multipurpose Spray.

Leave for a couple of minutes before you mop, you’ll find they lift off far more readily. Natural cleaning, made easy.

5. Eucalyptus Solution in your toilet

If there’s one product that rivals our Multipurpose for usefulness around the home, it’s our popular water-soluble Eucalyptus Solution. Did you know you can use this in your toilet? With very few natural cleaning options around for toilets, this is a great one to keep in mind.

Add 2-3 capfuls to toilets and drains to freshen and deodorize. Or if you’re feeling crafty, try making our easy, 4-ingredient DIY Toilet Fizzies.
